Description

After a night or two of fits and starts using SGPro's mosaic and plate solve for the first time, I netted 8 hours or so of pretty good data over 4+ hours in two nights using a side-by-side simultaneous imaging setup designed to match FOV's. The Mosaic was a 3 panel attempt for each camera/field of view.

FOV 1 was done using a Hutech modded Canon 6D in a Tak FSQ106 at prime (F5). FOV 2 with a saddle mounted, Baader Ha filtered (7nm) SXVR-H694 adapted to an EOS EF200 MM Canon zoom set to F5.6 and fit with my home-made circular-hole drilled lens cap to eliminate the iris spikes inherent at that F-stop. The Canon 70-200mm zoom is not the best of lenses for astrophotography (no zooms are), but the sensitivity of the 694 combined with the higher f-stop crisped up the Ha image enough to make for a reasonably pleasant HaRed+GB+HaLum processing attempt.

Mosaic integration and overall Processing was done with Pixinsight and finished in PS4. Presented as Ha-Red/Green/Blue + an Ha-Luminance layer with some color saturation and enhancements done in PS4.
