Description

I'm still working through challenges with my new rig....!!
This image was taken during poor seeing with lots of passing cloud that made obtaining good focus using HFD analysis very difficult to do in rapidly changing seeing. I managed only 5 passable subs each of 5 minutes duration. The target was at a low altitude and using the C14 at its native F11 (3.9m) revealed significant atmospheric dispersion. After seeking advice on how best to process the data I split the 5 sub exposures into separate RGB channels, then aligned and stacked for each channel before aligning and combining the colour stacks, similar to processing mono RGB images.
Adjusted levels and curves to lower background and increase contrast.
