Description

Looking for a good Hα target the right size for use of a focal reducer with the AT8IN. I had messed around a bit trying to do a mosaic of the Heart Nebula and decided this part is interesting enough in its own right (and it does look like a fish's head!). This session was hampered by trouble finding suitable guide stars with the off-axis guider. I found one after moving the prism, but after the meridian flip (which was automated and took place after I had gone to bed), it first locked on a hot pixel for a few subs and then lost guiding all together. Hence I got fewer subs than I really wanted to get, but what I got turned out surprisingly well.
