Description

NGC 891 is an edge-on unbarred spiral galaxy about 30 million light-years away in the constellation Andromeda. It was discovered by William Herschel on October 6, 1784.

Original image is a super_L image with RGB combined with 8 L frames. There were some technical issues with the L frames and I was able to eliminate those issues by stacking all the frames together. Unfortunately the image just seems too blown out, so the second image is just the RGB image with nothing fancy.

I have the super_L with just the RGB frames and may try that as a third image. I did do this and I think it came out best of the three.
