This is a 2-panel (4322x6191px) Ha image of SH2-145. It was collected between 2/28/2017 and 3/4/2017 from a dark site north of Manhattan Kansas using a TeleVue 127NPis at FR5.2, QHY16200A with an Astrodon 5nm Ha filter and a 10Micron G1000HPS unguided. Total integration is 9h40 from 29 20 minute subs. The exact FOV of this image is 2˚ 14' 35.5" x 3˚ 12' 47.7". The image scale is 1.875"/px. North is up. I had intended to collect 14 hours but strong winds and unforecasted clouds kept getting in the way. Processing was done using PixInsight with final touches in PhotoShop. Because I was able to get a few good nights of imaging in the beginning and graded and weighted the subframes the image ended up with FWHM of 1.837" and eccentricity of 0.4914 which is fairly decent. PI measures 26,275 stars in the image.

Views by Submitters (available since September 19th, 2023) Every image is assigned to 50% of available Submitters. In the event that at least 80% of them don't view the image before its time in the IOTD/TP process expires, it's assigned to the other 50% of Submitters and the process begins anew.
Promotions by Submitters When 3 distinct Submitters promote the image, it moves on to the next stage of the process: evaluation for Top Pick status. This requirement, in addition to anonymization of images and distribution to only a subset of them, prevents biases and ensures that the best images are selected.
