Description

For northeners the small pic at first looks like another M13, with its brighter two companion stars being a bit distorted, bad lens or what?

Omega Centauri is by far the greatest globular visible from planet earth. Easy to see with naked eye, a big smudge in any binocular, and splendid even at 200mm. Featured too are galaxies NGC5128 (radio source Cen A) and egde on SB spiral NGC4945. North is almost to the left.
