While the ED80 certainly isn't a "galaxy scope," I was still pleased with the results. The wind was brutal as was the temperature and the jet stream decided to camp out over Atlanta that night. However, clear skies and free time rarely converge, so I decided to tough it out with my buddies in the local astronomy club that meets at Charlie Elliott Wildlife Center just outside of Mansfield, Georgia (USA).
