Description

I decided to image M106 again but this time with my Orion ED80 Refractor. I've not imaged

M106 with this scope. My plans were to take 30-40 light frames at a 120 second exposure and

then take 20 light frames at a 180 second exposure. However as usual lately clouds moved in

and shut me down. I managed to get 18 usable light frames. I knew that noise would be an

issue only using 18 light frames to align and stack especially considering the small size of the

object I was imaging. It took a lot of processing to try and negate the noise. I could not

eliminate the noise completely but I did manage to lesson the noise. To be honest I'm pleased

that I even got an image considering what I had to work with. As usual I'm long winded but

with all of that said. This is my most recent attempt at imaging M106. Enjoy.
