Description

I was interested whether I can make M87's black hole jet visible by just a rather short exposure session. From my observation site it was the last chance this year as it quickly disappears behind the roofs after darkness arrives. I made 3xR, 3xG, and six B frames, 300s each. The black-hole jet was clearly visible in every single shot. It is also visible in the composite and, if one looks closely, also its different color.

Unfortunately also my guiding problems are visible in the picture. The reason was an unbalance which I could fix during the session. However, during processing I decided not to discard any frames.

Main processing in Fitswork, final processing in Adobe Lightroom.
