Description

I have to admit - I wasn't a huge fan of the Eastern Veil Nebula.  I always thought it was oddly shaped and somewhat uninteresting.  I actually only began to image it because I had just finished the Western Veil and thought it made sense to post these two back-to-back. As I began collecting data on it this month, I found it has some surprising features which begin to stand out when an ample number of subs are collected.  While trying various HSO combinations in PixInsight, this color palette emerged followed by a quick and minimal processing - minor curves, slight sharpening, Russell Croman's NoiseXTerminator, SCNR).  This area stood out as particularly interesting, so it was rotated and cropped.

Weather permitting, the full image will follow soon.
