Description

The Perseus Molecular cloud is a giant cloud of gas, young star formation and dust with two amazing objects far apart: NGC1333 (the Embryo Nebula) and IC348 a cluster of several hundred young stars with the characteristic blue nebulosity of young stars. The bright star Atik (Omicron Persei) is a variable and double giant star in IC348. The magenta areas in the middle are rich in HII and surrounded by very dark dust.
I have planned this picture for several weeks due to the limitations of trees in my location, I was finally able to get 8 hours of integration with acceptable seeing conditions. Really beautiful  area of the cosmos, so colorful and starry. My Redcat 51 once again delivered high quality subs. The processing of this image was another learning due to the complexity of the objects and the subtle nebulosity covering the entire wide field.
