Description

IC1287 and NGC6589.Found in the rich star field of the Milky Way in the constellation of Scutum is the blue reflection nebula IC1287/VdB 124 that is illuminated by the blue luminous giant star HD 170740. It lies around 693 light years from us. Below is the globular cluster NGC 6649 that both contains red super giants and the Cephied variable star V367 Scuti. It lies around 5200 light years away. Completing the triangle is the giant yellow star HD 171391 with a magnitude of 5.12 and lies around 290 light years from us.
