Description

With these winter months in Michigan comes with little nights of clear skies in capturing data of rare objects that require a lot of integration time. Not only patience is in order, but a lot of hope.

Sh2-207 is the larger of the two sharpness objects and the smaller SH2-208 is just to the right. It also has some interesting structure in that it almost resembles a tiny Rossette Nebula. The nearby Sh2-208 to the right it is close enough that even a longer focal length telescope can pick both up in the same field of view as seen here with my 152mm APO. Sh2-207 responds well to the Ha filter, but not so much with OIII and SII. A wider field of view will also pick up some nice nebula in the area more so to the right of SH2-208. This area is quite dim so long exposure time works best, which I tried my best given these horrible winter months here in Michigan.
