Description

This little nebula is perhaps bigger than it looks. It lies 9,100 lightyears away and contains the argest known protostar--300 times the size of the solar system. I think that includes the Oort Cloud, so that is BIG. This is a bicolor HaOIII that started as a wim. I needed an Ha target to shoot during a bright Moon. I hope to collect the SII for this image, but I do like the red tint from this HaOIII composition. I typially do not have much success with bicolor images. Even when I do OK with one, I am never sorry I collected the SII afetr I decide to do it.

This image was complicated by the fact that I rotated my camera, using the CAA for the first time, so I could frame the Witches Broom. I forgot that I had collected the Ha for this target and realized that I would lose a lot of the FOV. It seems to have worked out OK as I planned on cropping anyway to better reveal the details of this smallish target.
