Description

M4, a.k.a NGC 6121, is the closest globular cluster to our solar system  ~7200 light-years away and 75  light-years across in Scorpius, estimated to be ~12.2 billion years old. Some white dwarf stars in this cluster are the oldest known stars in our galaxy, ~13 billion years old.

LRGB 7h 30m  (14:15:14:15 x 300s,  4x4x600s)  two datasets from a CCD and CMOS camera. From CHI-1 telescope, a Planewave CDK24 with FLI PL 9000 / QHY 600M Pro camera and Astrodon 2nd GEN LRGB filters, situated in the Rio Hurtado Valley, Chile. Part of the telescope.live network. Taken on multiple dates May 2021 - April 2023.
