Camera: Moravian C3-61000 Pro, 2x2 binned at capture
Observatory: Heaven's Mirror, Chile

Exposures:
R:  12 x 900 sec
G:  9 x 900
B:  9 x 900
Total Exposure time used: 7.25 hours
Image Width: 31 arcminutes

Processing: PixInsight, Topaz Studio2, custom scripts for image weighting and star replacement

Martin Pugh captured this fov based on an image he saw and liked. An extensive cloud occupies the region around this image (RA about 17h and Dec about -45.5 deg), as seen in planetarium programs such as Stellarium.

This image's stars had much more extensive halos than usual for this imaging system. There may have been high clouds or dew issues, or the cloud itself extends in front of the stars. The large, extended, often color-banded halos suggest a due problem to me.

A very bright star lies just off the image toward the bottom. I removed its intrusive halo, making this image more about art than science. In any case, Hope you like it.
