Description

The location was the Dolomites mountains, at 1800 meters (B4, 21.56, according to my app).
Once again, I spent a night of August trying to catch some Perseids, like in my previous image.
This night started with a lot of clouds, I was disappointed but I installed the setup anyway. And there was a lot of dew, my gear and dresses were wet.
The smell of the woods was already a gift for me, I like to stay in the Nature.
So I waited some hours and finally the sky was clear, so I had the opportunity to realize this image.

Given that beautiful Sky, and the fact that I already catched the Perseids some days before of this, probably I could try to shoot a deepsky object using different focal lenght... but when there is the Milky Way, I usually go for it. And I am always delighted to use the Tamron 15-30 G1, it's a powerhorse on the Milky Way and this time I used at 30mm (to reduce also the risk of some clouds around).

Funny how some images seems to have their own life; it's always me shooting with the same gear and same skills but the final result can be different from the previous, sometimes the image decides where to go.

Canon 6D unmodded, Tamron 15-30 @ 30mm F/4, 86*30 seconds, ISO 6400;

Thanks for watching.
