Description

January 19,2023 I moved my setup to an area with more sky area to see.Settings recorded are minus -22 degrees F on camera sensor,Gain 82 percent.I like to adjust color saturation to add enhanced visual detail for my enjoyment, but as I learn more I think I will not want to do this and have more natural color. To learn this type of Photography I am starting with a MC camera and these are called sometimes One Shot Cameras.By using this type of camera in the beginning it gives me a chance to concentrate on learning how to operate my Mount,Telescope,Guiding etc.I have the same camera in MM, EFW and EAF.But for now I am keeping it simple so I can concentrate on the above issues. It is very rewarding to see a final image appear and this is where I am at.I look forward to the MM camera with the added unused accessories with shorter exposure times and more frames so I can get more finer details.Getting my image train down to a very fine focus for pinpoint stars and detail is the most important thing to do next in my mind.I live in high elevations and the winters night temperatures have been very cold.Temperatures on some nights makes it hard to work in these conditions. On one night I went out at Minus -16 degrees F and got PA but shortly later my mount froze up and would not slew.I knew the operating minimum temperature for my mount was around O degrees F but I wanted to take advantage of the clear winter night. My next mount will have lower operating thresholds on the temperature range as well as being a heavier Mount and Tripod. But it is nice to be able to get out and capture data, and have a setup for remote mobility.
