Description

The Western Veil is one of the brighter parts of the very large supernova remnant known as the Cygnus Loop. This particular section is also known as The Witch's Broom. This is my favorite section of the Veil Nebula to highlight the filamentary structure running through it. Some filaments look like large tangled ropes and others more like fine silk from a spiders web. I was blessed with excellent sky conditions last week so I thought I better take advantage and try out my color cam, L-Ultimate filter, and HAE43EC mount. They have seen limited use this year while I primarily work on narrow band projects. The L-Ultimate filter certainly yields an interesting color palette that I am not really sure of. I think it would be fun to blend this data with an equal amount of data through  something like the L-Pro or UV/IR filters.  Advice is always welcome trying new things like this.
