Description

This phase of astrophotography is an unforgettable experience for me with my remote observatory in the scorching Al Quaa desert. The desert's extreme summer temperatures have reached a staggering 45+ degrees Celsius, which posed a unique challenge to my astrophotography endeavors. Additionally, July and August presented further obstacles due to the adverse weather conditions that significantly impacted the sky quality. However, the extreme heat, poor sky quality, and unpredictable weather posed significant obstacles that tested my dedication and patience.

The M24 Sagittarius star clouds are spectacular due to their proximity to the center of our Milky Way galaxy. This cosmic neighborhood is more in stellar activity, giving rise to a profusion of stars and interstellar gas, which form intricate patterns against the backdrop of deep space. Located in the constellation of Sagittarius, these star clouds present a mesmerizing spectacle in the night sky.

It lies approximately 10,000 light-years away from Earth. The star cloud spans an area of about 1.5 degrees in the sky, and it is roughly equivalent to three times the size of the full Moon.
