Description

My second attempt at imaging with a Nikon Lens.

A nice wide field view of the IC1396 nebula, home of the elephant trunk. Also included in the view is sharpless SH2-129 on the right and SH2-132 on the left.

I decided to go with a seldom used palette of Ha = red, OIII=green and SII=blue as this is a predominantly red object from the abundance of hydrogen gas in the nebula.
