Description

I did not intend on imaging this object. When I went outside I planned on trying to find and

image Comet C/2017 01. Several sites on the internet indicate that this comet is at a

magnitude 5.5 right now and one site states that it is a binocular object. Well I spent almost

two hours searching for Comet C/2017 01 and I could not find it. I did not want to waste a

clear night so I noticed M45 near where the comet is supposed to be located. In fact I saw an

image on the internet showing Comet C/2017 01 and M45 in the same image. I've never

imaged M45 with my AT72ED and it was something I was planning to do anyway. I've

imaged M45 four or five times but I was never able to get all of this object in the field of view

with my other scopes. However my AT72ED does allow me to get the entire object in the

field of view. Please enjoy my most recent image of M45.

Description: I did not like the way the image looked when I uploaded it to Astrobin. I
did a little reprocessing to remove some of the light.
