Description

This is Messier 33 (M33 or NGC 598), the Triangulum Galaxy, located in the constellation Triangulum. It's a spiral galaxy residing approximately 2.7 million light-years from Earth. The image shows active star-forming regions, distinguished by blue and red hues, along with visible dust lanes. M33 is a member of our local group of galaxies, alongside the Milky Way and Andromeda.
