Description

Before I went outside I decided I would image NGC 2244. However it would not be high enough

in the sky until around 11:30 pm. So I decided to image M36 first to give NGC 2244 time to

rise higher in the sky. When I finished imaging M36 there was a lot of moisture in the

air and my equipment was wet. I had difficulty trying to keep my main objective from fogging

over the entire time I was imaging NGC 2244. When I finished imaging and began processing

I had to discard almost half of the light frames I had taken of NGC 2244 because of moisture

in the air. I did not capture near the amount of nebulosity that I normally do with this

object and I assume that was because of the moisture problems. However I did get an image

but it is not as good as some of the images I've taken of this object. But with that said I'm

really not displeased with the image. The rosette is not as filled out as it normally is in

most of my images of this object but I still think the image is interesting and I consider it

a keeper. Please enjoy my most recent image of NGC 2244. This was the first time I've

imaged this object with my AT72ED Refractor.
