Description

NGC 2359, also known under the name of Helmet of Thor, is a nebula in emission, situated in the Canis Major constellation. Gigantic, it covers an angle equivalent to 3 full moons. The central, at the same time massive and very hot star, is a giant who runs her last red lights of helium and carbon.
