Description

Good morning everyone! Today's upload of the day is a nebula known as The Tadpole Nebula, and Catalogued as IC 410. This nebula is a hydrogen two star forming region (a stellar nursery) and can be found 3280 light years away in the constellation Auriga. The nebula gets its name from the "Tadpole" gaseous structures which look like they are swimming towards the center of the nebula ("tadpoles on top right of nebula pointing inwards.) This object shines at magnitude 7.5, and is best observed with a small telescope or larger, in dark skies. If you have a difficult time observing this object, try using a visual hydrogen alpha or a visual oxygen three filter to help bring the nebula out.
