Description

This is my first time using the ASI120MM-S with the 80ED. I used a Baader variable spacer, along with a smaller fixed spacer to keep the ASI cam the proper distance from the Skywatcher field flattener. It turned out pretty well and I was glad to be able to get the entire gibbous moon in the FOV. At some point, I may try to use ASI with the 80ED for lunar shots without the flattener. That would allow me to use the 2x focal extender and possibly some filters. Not sure how well that would work - the edges may be a bit distorted without the flattener, but it would be fun to try.

Exposure was only 1.5 ms and camera gain was set at only 2. Anything more caused washout. 500 frames stacked (best 50% of 1000 frames).

Thanks for looking!
