Description

NGC 2281 is an open cluster in the constellation Auriga. Fairly large at 25 arc-minutes. Magnitude 5.4. Imaged under a bright moon on 2/27/2018.

Confession: This was the firs time I felt comfortable enough with my processing results to actually post at full resolution. I normally downscale to hide what I think are flaws. This workflow was performed completely in Photoshop CC, except for a "heal" performed in StarTools to remove a dust donut that wasn't completely eliminated with my flats. I used Gradient XTerminator and the Astronomy Tools Action Set.
