Description

NGC7640 is a barred-sprial galaxy between 17 and 19 Million Light-Years distant in the Constellation Andromeda. It is about half the size of the Milky Way Galaxy at approximately 59,000 Light-Years diameter. It appears to have lots of blue star regions in its two major arms, but very little gas, dust and HII regions.
