Description

Messier 94 (or NGC 4736) is a magnitude 9 spiral galaxy in the constellation Canes Venatici. There are two ringlike structures in this face-on galaxy, although the outer one is very faint and is barely visible in my image.

Location: New Ringgold PA

Optics: LUM: Starizona Hyperion f/8 12.5 inch, FL 2540 mm

Mount: LUM: Paramount ME

Camera: LUM: Apogee U8300

Optics: RGB: Celestron EdgeHD 1100

Mount: RGB: Paramount MX

Camera: RGB:Sbig STL-11000

Guiding: Self-guided/ONAG

Exposure: LRGB: L:56x10 min R:19x10 min, G:21x10 min, B:22x10 min for a total of 19.7 hrs.

Processing: Image acquisition using Maxim DL and CCD Autopilot. The Lum and RGB color images were created in Maxim with final processing in Photoshop.
