Description

My sky did not clear until around 11:30 pm. I checked the sky about every 30 minutes from the

time that it got dark waiting for the clouds to move out. While looking at the sky I noticed

Corvus. It was in a good location and I decided to image M104 again. I last imaged this

object on 4-11-18 with my ED80. I haven't imaged in a while with my Orion 8 Inch Newtonian Astrograph. So I decided that I would use it. My sky was relatively dark and clear but because

of moisture in the air it was not that transparent. Within 20 minutes all of my equipment was

wet. I had tracking problems and had to trash more than half of my images. The tracking problems were my fault. I loosened the declination and right ascension locking nuts on my

mount so I could use the knobs to move the mount and frame my image like I wanted. I

retightened the declination locking nut but forget to retighten the right ascension locking nut

and about half way through my imaging the mount slipped and about 50 images had trailing stars. Anyway with all of that said I did get an image and I'm fairly pleased with the image.

Please enjoy my most recent image of M104.
