Description

This was not my planned target for the night. I was looking forward to the rare clear night to try to finish up my NGC 1333 composition. But, as luck would have it, about an hour into my session capturing R-filter subs on my ASI1600MM-Cool, I checked in on NINA and noticed a creeping dark "stain" on each of my subs I quickly knew something (dew, frost?) was slowly running along my sensor window.

So, I shut everything down, took off my 1600 and checked the protective glass and, sure enough, a tiny streak near the edge of the sensor window. Determined not to lose a clear, weekend night of imaging, I quickly pilfered my ASI294MC Pro OSC off my EdgeHD 8 and slapped it on my ES127. I was up and running again in about 40 minutes. But, I decided to just shoot a new target and finish 1333 later. I eyeballed the sky and, lo and behold, the beautiful Seven Sisters were up high.

With that, here is my one-nighter with the Seven Sisters.
