Meteor-Videocamera & Meteo(r)-Station


On the right side of the picture you can see the Meteor-Videocamera:
With the mounted widefield objective a huge area of the night sky can be scanned for meteors.
The software: UFOCaptureHD makes a real time-analysis of the recorded video sequence and stores all video data with potential meteor-detections. The installed heater band protects the camera lense from dew.

On the left side of the picture you can see the Meteo(r)-Station:
The Meteor(r)-Station contains several measurement instruments:
-The weather station records the air temperature, the air humidity, the air pressure an the dew point.
-The SkyQualityMeter records the brightness of the night sky.
These parameters can be visualized in curve charts.
-The Meteo(r)-Camera with it´s mounted fisheye lense records pictures with 30sec. exposure time to determine the qualitity of the meassurement results from the SkyQualityMeter and to record meteor traces.
-The microphone is used to verify meteor synchronized sounds events.
The SkyQualityMeter and the Meteo(r)-Camera are also protected from dew with a heater band.
