Description

The Great Wall, in the North America nebula, part of the great Cygnus complex. This object is often a small part of common images of the much larger North America nebula. It often doesn't get close up attention, however it is a very detailed region of space, filled with complex structures in defined by both gas and dust.

I have always been intrigued by the diverse nature of this object. It included gaseous emission nebula, dark dusty nebula, and a few small reflection nebula (if you look closely, one can be seen, faintly, in the narrow band channels shared here.) I have imaged this object in several occasions, however never at a high resolution such as this.

This collection includes 4 hours of Ha, 7 hours of OIII and 10 hours of SII. The Ha and OIII are both quite strong in this area, the OIII almost surprisingly so, at times as strong as the most prominent gas in the galaxy. The SII is much fainter, yet contains very well defined structure once you acquire enough of it.
