Description

Atik 460ex camera with 5nm Astrodon Ha filter. Canon 200mm L lens at f/2.8 with a Canon 2x extender = 400mm. Orion Atlas Pro mount with Orion 50mm guide scope and Lodestar X2 guide camera. 24 x 5 min exposures = 2 hours. Processed in Pixinsight and Photoshop CC. Flats and bias frames used. Shot from my front yard in Durham, NC. A work in progress. An experiment to see if adding a 2x extender makes sense to use. Probably not the best combination. Focus difficult and stars obviously off. Thinking about it.
