Description

M63 Sunflower Galaxy was imaged over several nights. The galaxy is 27 million light-years away from earth. I switched my imaging software between Ekos and NINA and experimented with proper focusing. A few night sessions were impacted by the smoke conditions from Canadian wildfires looming over us at times. But overall, satisfactory with the result. The target moves quickly in the sky from almost zenith (~79deg/alt to 30deg/alt) within a matter of 4 hours. So I noticed good quality images usually in the early part of each session. I decided not to discard any frame for this integration. First time tried Sirilic for multi session processing with Siril, very convenient. AstroSharp for noise reduction and extra sharpening after Siril processing and before gimp final touches.
