After a few months of playing around with astrophotography and trying to get my skills to an acceptable level I've now managed to make this shot of the Orion Nebula which is finally properly focussed, properly tracked, and even a bit of HDR. All only using my simple Nikon D850 with 500mm lens on a tiny SkyWatcher Star Adventurer mount. Very pleased with it. Onwards and upwards!
This is an HDR combination of 90 x 10s exposures at ISO 12800 and 90x 5s exposures at ISO 2500.
