Description

I didn't intend on imaging these objects tonight. I had another target in mind. However my sky did not clear until almost 10:30 pm. What I wanted to image was right at Meridian and I didn't want to fool with a meridian flip. So I decided to image something else while waiting for my target to move a little more to the Southwest. I looked around and noticed that Ursa Major was just rearing it's head. I decided to image M81 and M82. This small aperture scope is definitely not the best choice for these objects if you want a very detailed image. However I wanted to see how my new little scope did with these objects. I was pleasantly surprised when I noticed that I had also captured a couple of dwarf companion galaxies. As it turned out clouds moved in and covered the sky and I didn't get to image the target that I had planned on imaging. Please enjoy my most recent image of M81 and M82.
