      Description

      Collaboration with Mike Selby.

IC 2631 is the brightest reflection nebula in the Chamaeleon complex. It is a gorgeous reflection nebula that has a lot of fine detail to it!

A bright blue reflection nebula with a lot of ] dust, IC 2631 is lit by the massive young bright star HD 97300. IC 2631 is effectively an incubator for a number of very young proto stars.

The RGB is from the CDK 700 and I registered it with the more detailed Lum from the 1m to get the details out.

Imaged in LRGB on the Planewave CDK 1000 at Observatorio El Sauce, Chile.
Image Data and preprocessing: Thank you to Mike Selby
