This nebula is a favourite subject of astrophorographers including yours truly, because it's so colourful and close enough to earth that you can shoot it with a regular DSLR camera and an 85mm lens. It's in the lower right-hand section of the Milky Way galactic core about 20 degrees up from the horizon.
