Description

Altought Solar Astrophotography isn't my thing, i tried to capture an image of the Transit of Mercury of November 11th, 2019. I used my autoguider camera (ZWO 290MM Mini) and my amateur astronomy association's Lunt Telescope.

The day, of course, was partly cloudy -the clouds always appear in rare astronomical events like this- but I still managed to captured a video of the little planet right in front of the solar disk, with some small prominences and a bit of detail of the chromosphere. I did a basic process with Astrostakkert and Pixinsight, mainly to increase contrast and colorize the image.
