Description

I captured this over 65 minutes on March 24h, 2024. It's a compilation of frames stacked from 500 frame SER clips every 20 seconds. This represents about 65 minutes in the life of the sunspots just as a massive flare died down. I watched the flare developing for a short time but as I started shooting, it died--so not-so-lucky imaging. This is the first time I processed all the frames of a timelapse entirely in PixInsight using SolarTools. I captured all the frames with Sharpcap (500 frame SER clips every 20 seconds, each stacked in AS!4), then processed with StarTools in PixInsight, aligned in ImPPG, animated in PIPP, with the final timelapse touched up in iMovie (framing, speed adjustment, export).

My gear: WO FL156, Quark Chromosphere, Apollo-M Max, CEM120, Primaluce Labs Sesto Senso 2 and Eagel 4 Pro, housed in my SkyShed.
