Description

The waxing gibbous moon (63% illuminated) on May 21, 2021. The crater Copernicus, near the center of the image, is nicely illuminated along the terminator at this lunar phase.

Imaged with a Astro-Tech AT60ED, 2.5x Televue Powermate, Baader UV-IR cut Filter, and ZWO ASI224MC. Imaging train was configured to give ~F/15 (FL=900mm). Image capture using Firecapture. Stacking in AutoStakkert3 (best 25% of 1000 frames). Panorama generated from 13 sub images using Microsoft Image Explorer. Processed in Registax (initial wavelet sharpening, histogram adjustment, RGB balance), and Topaz Sharpen AI (additional sharpening), and PixInsight (color saturation boost for 'mineral moon' version).
