Description

1h30min of integral Ha exposure of a set of dark nebulae located halfway between lambda Cen and Carina nebulae - captured remotely using Telescope #3 (ASA-N D = 0.5m f/3.8, FLI ProLine 16803) system of ChileScope on Mar 15, 2024.

Two peculiar small DSOs showed up in the FOV - the first one in the upper left corner, shown in 150% of original scale in the cropped image below:

and the second one on the top right side of the FOV, also shown at 150% of original scale in the cropped image below:

The first object is likely the PN G290.7-01.7 [1] - the peculiar 3 arm shape suggest that there may be a multiple star system at play there like in the case of Tau V1025 [2].

The second one is likely associated with two cataloged objects - an IR source [3] and the HII region [4].
