Description

This is my first serious attempt at an area of mainly reflection and dark dust nebula... I have a newfound respect for the dark, dusky and dusty images I see here... I feel pretty clueless with processing this... far harder than typical emmission nebula. Not sure how much is down to LP (bortle 7) which even without moon makes LRGB a challenge...not sure I have exposure right for LRGB either... 90s for Lum and 180s for the RGB... first time since restarting into astro-imaging that I have that hankering for dark skies once more!

Anyway this is what I could scrape together over four nights... i did a little Ha but it didn't add much so left it out. As I've swapped to my 0.75x riccardi reducer for this there was a fair bit of mucking about with spacing and tilt between nights here which doesnt help with star haloing.

Stacked in APP into LRGB and recombined in Startools. Final processing in PS.
