Description

NGC 206 is the patch of stars (an OB association) at the center of the fov. All are young (blue, so can't be old), believed to be formed at about the same time, and somewhat notable is the hole in HI gas that stellar winds and supernovae have 'blown away'.

For processing, I used all the newest PI gadgets -- GHS, SPCC, & BlurXterminator. For those trying out BX, I found that the default settings mucked up the stars in 206 because, I assume, they're embedded in the the galaxy. Enabling the 'Nonstellar then Stellar' and using a specified PSF diam. of 3 pixels instead of the automatic setting did a much better job. I also reduced 'Sharpen Nonstellar' to 0.6.
