Description

First light on new camera (ZWO ASI533 Pro). Humidity was miserable and the transparency was below average. Guide scope dew caused many tracking issues. Even the primary mirror dewed up. Only 67 subs out of 120 were usable. Camera is pretty amazing. Cheap mount continues to surprise me with how well it tracks, but I notice I need to keep the balance heavy on the east side for best results. This means I can't automatically meridian flip... unless I can figure out a way to adjust the balance automatically after the flip. Getting dew heaters seems to be more important right now. This is not the first night nearly completely ruined by dew.
Also, I got bit by ZWO's default white balance settings. PSA: set WB_B & WB_R each to 50. 95 and 52 are entirely inappropriate defaults, and any setting other than 50 means the image is not actually RAW any more. This is an issue with ZWO's SDK, apparently.
