Description

At a distance of 22.5 m-ly, this barred spiral galaxy shines at 9.9 magnitude in the early winter sky.  With only 26 subs on this capture, I would like to revisit this again to gain more detail and less noise. On my full-frame image there are other fainter galaxies present in the FOV.  This galaxy has wispy outer arms that appear to being thrown away from the center nucleus.  The Hubble capture shows extensive Ha regions, but my OSC fails to register these.
