Description

This is my version of Messier 8 - The Lagoon Nebula. A giant cloud of dust and gas about 5200 light years from Earth. It is seen very low on my southern horizon in the Constellation Sagittarius. It is home to it's own star cluster NGC 6530 that illuminates it. A very difficult target for me just skimming the treetops in my backyard. I could only get a couple hours at most of data each night. It is the first project I tried using Voyager advanced robo-targeting which worked amazingly well.
