Description

Had a great time imaging the total solar eclipse...right up until totality. The sun had just crossed the meridian. I knew I would need to do a flip. In retrospect I should've waited til after totality to do the flip, the AM5 could've handled it. But I did it anyway. After the flip I was just out of frame. I made some minor adjustments using the on screen controls with the ASIAir because the hand controller wasn't responding for some reason (an issue that's been increasingly frequent). I needed one last small adjustment (no I didn't, it was in frame, I should've left it). I made a tiny tap on my iPad and the mount moved probably 2º! My target was gone and totality was a minute away. I put my iPad down and accepted defeat and enjoyed totality with my eyes (and binoculars). Failure aside I'm very happy with this collage.
